Inter Milan have reportedly whittled their shortlist of targets in midfield to Morten Frendrup, Djaoui Cisse, and Sofyan Amrabat.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan are reportedly looking to sign a midfielder before the end of the summer transfer window.
The Nerazzurri want a player who can give balance to the team. The aim is to sign a holding midfielder adept at winning and retaining possession of the ball.
Inter have looked at a number of targets for this role. Last week, they made an offer for Roma midfielder Manu Kone, but the Giallorossi rebuffed this bid.
According to La Repubblica, Inter’s list of targets in midfield now has three names on it.
Firstly, there would be Genoa midfielder Morten Frendrup. The Dane has long been a player on the Nerazzurri’s radar.
Then, La Repubblica report, Inter are also considering a move for young Rennes midfielder Djaoui Cisse.
Then, lastly, the newspaper anticipate that Inter could also make a move for former Fiorentina and Manchester United Sofyan Amrabat. The Moroccan is currently at Fenerbahce.
