Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Francesco Acerbi will travel to North America with the rest of the Inter Milan squad for the FIFA Club World Cup.
Per Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the latter has turned down the national team call-up to prepare for the tournament.
Indeed, there’s a bust-up between Francesco Acerbi and Luciano Spalletti.
Therefore, the 37-year-old will not take part in upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Norway and Moldova.
On the other hand, Henrikh Mkhitaryan called time on his international career in 2022.
Despite a termination clause in both players’ deals, Inter will include them in their Club World Cup squad.
Indeed, the club could end their association with each by paying a meager €500,000 compensation fee.
The same goes for Matteo Darmian and Stefan de Vrij. However, all four will head to the United States later this month.
Meanwhile, Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa will not board the plane.
Indeed, both players will sever ties with Inter after the club refused to extend their contracts.
