Inter Milan are eyeing up Fiorentina wingback Dodo as a replacement for Denzel Dumfries in the event the Dutchman is sold.
This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri have already made contact with the Brazilian’s entourage.
Inter Milan are bracing for the possibility of losing Denzel Dumfries.
The 29-year-old wingback has a release clause in his contract worth €25 million. Therefore, it is little surprise that he has started to attract transfer interest.
Inter therefore do not want to be caught out in the event that a club does trigger Dumfries’s release clause.
Therefore, behind the scenes the Nerazzurri are working on potential replacements for the former PSV wingback.
According to FCInterNews, one name that is high on Inter’s list is that of Fiorentina wingback Dodo.
By all accounts, the Brazilian is keen to join a new club this summer.
Therefore, reports FCIN, Inter have already made contact with Dodo’s representatives.
Moreover, as far as a fee for Dodo goes, Inter could also aim to lower it by including striker Sebastiano Esposito in the deal. The 23-year-old is a major target for Fiorentina.
