Inter Milan are hoping that Valencia will drop their €20 million asking price for defender Cristhian Mosquera due to his contract situation.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan have set their sights on Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera.
The Nerazzurri have certainly made rejuvenating their defense a major priority this summer.
The likes of Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij certainly aren’t getting any younger. Therefore, it is necessary for the Nerazzurri to rejuvenate their backline.
Moreover, Yann Bisseck could also leave as likes of Manchester United and West Ham United are reportedly interested.
Considering all of this, the 20-year-old Mosquera has emerged as an ideal profile for Inter.
The fact that Mosquera’s current contract with Valencia runs out at the end of June 2026 has made the Spaniard look all the more attainable for Inter.
Los Che are trying to convince the 20-year-old to sign a new deal.
However, if Mosquera does not agree a contract with Valencia, then he will certainly be on the market. This summer would represent the La Liga club’s last major opportunity to cash in.
Valencia’s asking price for Mosquera would be around €20 million, reports the Gazzetta dello Sport.
However, the newspaper note, Inter would look to use the Spain Under-21 international’s contract situation as leverage to sign him for a lower fee than that.
