Inter Milan will reportedly exercise a buyout clause in their loan agreement with Roma for Nicola Zalewski.

Per Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri will purchase the Poland international in the coming days.

Nicola Zalewski joined Inter on a short-term loan in January.

Despite being in and out of the starting line-up in the second half of last season, he proved a dependable option on the wing.

Therefore, the Serie A runners-up will splash out around €6.5 million to secure his signature permanently.

Inter Milan Decide to Trigger Buyout Clause in Nicola Zalewski Loan Deal with Roma

Inter have until June 18 to activate the clause, but they’ve already made up their mind.

Zalewski proved a valuable asset toward the end of last season, especially after Federico Dimarco hit a rough patch.

Despite having Carlos Augusto as another backup option on the left flank, Inter will make the 23-year-old’s move permanent.

On the other hand, Zalewski will try to get more minutes next term after mostly playing second fiddle to Dimarco in 2024/25.

However, it’s worth noting that he gained a more prominent role toward the end of the campaign.
