Report – Inter Milan & Manchester United Open Talks For Ex Atalanta Striker

Negotiations between Inter Milan and Manchester United over Rasmus Hojlund are reportedly off and running.

Per Sky Sport Deutschland via FCInterNews, the Italians have made the 22-year-old a ‘concrete’ target for the summer.

Manchester United forked out around €70 million plus bonuses to acquire the Dane’s signature in 2023.

However, his career at Old Trafford has been an unmitigated disaster.

In addition to a lackluster scoring record, the ex-Atalanta center-forward has struggled for regular first-team football.

Therefore, an early return to Serie A could be on the cards.

Inter Milan & Manchester United Launch Talks for Rasmus Holjund

Despite his torrid time in the Premier League, Inter see Rasmus Hojlund as an upgrade on Mehdi Taremi.

Indeed, Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa are on their way out, leaving Simone Inzaghi strapped for senior attacking options.

Furthermore, Taremi’s first season at Giuseppe Meazza was an utter disappointment.

As such, the Serie A runners-up have prioritized a move for a new goal-getter, with Hojlund emerging as an ideal solution.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils will listen to offers for their out-of-sorts star.

While Hojlund won’t come cheap, Inter may try to sign him on loan with an option to buy.
