Inter Milan have yet to receive contact from Man City over the €25 million release clause of wingback Denzel Dumfries.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan are considering the possibility that they could lose Denzel Dumfries this summer.

The Nerazzurri will not lose the Dutchman for free. He signed a contract extension last year.

However, that new deal includes a release clause of €25 million.

Moreover, Inter are aware that Dumfries is not altogether happy with the harsh words from Inter captain Lautaro Martinez earlier this week.

Then, there is the fact that Dumfries has changed his agent to Jorge Mendes. That could very well be a signal of intent to leave the club this summer.

Inter Not Contacted Yet By Man City About Denzel Dumfries Release Clause

Inter Milan are waiting to see if any clubs move in for Dumfries.

The fact that the 29-year-old’s release clause expires on the 15th of this month means that if anything is top happen, it has to happen soon.

Rumours indicate that Premier League giants Manchester City are keen on Dumfries.

And the Cityzens could sense an opportunity to bolster at right-back for a relatively small fee, and without having to negotiate a deal.

However, the Corriere report, Inter have not received any signs from City.

And a deal of this size, even with a release clause, rarely materializes in just a matter of a few days.

Therefore, with Dumfries’s release clause just over a week away from expiring, Inter are not overly worried about City’s approach.
