Report – Iran Superstar Will Train With Inter Milan First Team & Not U23 Side

Inter Milan castaway Mehdi Taremi has reportedly returned to Italy and will join pre-season training immediately.

According to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, the Iranian striker will link up with the first-team squad.

That’s in contrast with some earlier reports.

Indeed, there was speculation that he could join Stefano Vecchi’s U23 squad instead.

However, the 33-year-old will instead reunite with his clubmates and start preparing for the new season.

Inter Milan Flop Mehdi Taremi Returns to Pre-Season Training

Mehdi Taremi underwent his physical tests today and will meet his teammates at Appiano Gentile tomorrow.

Yet, he remains out of favor at San Siro.

Indeed, Cristian Chivu has sidelined him from his project, prompting Inter to put him on the market.

Despite attracting interest from Flamengo, Taremi has made it clear he wants to stay in Europe.

Furthermore, he prefers a club from Europe’s traditional top-five leagues.

Leeds United and Fulham have shown interest, but they have yet to make contact with the Nerazzurri.

Therefore, Taremi’s future remains uncertain heading into the opening Serie A round.
