The arrival of Chivu as Inter Milan coach has really solidifed the Nerazzurri’s interest in Leoni.

The Romanian had gotten the best out of the 18-year-old towards the end of last season. He made Leoni a defensive pillar in Parma’s bid for Serie A survival.

Therefore, Inter are more convinced than ever that Leoni can make up the step up to playing in their defense.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are now in regular contact with Parma.

The Nerazzurri and the Gialloblu are getting more and more serious in attempts to negotiate a deal for Leoni.
