Report: Tottenham now exploring multiple deal structures to sign £50-60m-rated target

Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to sign the West Ham United midfielder Lucas Paqueta during the summer transfer window.

They are looking to get the deal done before the window closes tomorrow. According to a report from CaughtOffside, they are considering multiple structures to get the deal done. They could look to sign the player in a straight cash deal, a high guaranteed fee with bonuses or a swap deal involving Yves Bissouma.

Can Spurs convince West Ham to sell?

It will be interesting to see if they can convince West Ham to sell the player this late in the window. The midfielder is valued at around £50-60 million. There is no doubt that he has the quality to play for Tottenham, and he could improve them immensely. The technically gifted midfielder is a hard-working player, and he will help out in defence and attack. He has the qualities to compete at the highest level, and the opportunity to join Tottenham could be exciting for him.

Paqueta could fancy a Spurs move

He will hope to fight for trophies this season, and Tottenham could provide him with that platform. They will be able to offer him Champions League football as well. Convincing the player might not be too difficult for the club. However, they will need to convince West Ham. He is one of their best players, and losing him at this stage of the window could be a devastating blow for the club. They have already started the season in poor form, and they will not want to weaken the squad further.

Tottenham might have to come forward with an observed amount of money in order to get the deal done. It remains to be seen how the situation develops over the next 24 hours.

In theory, the Brazilian should prove to be an exceptional acquisition. He is at the peak of his career, and he could make an instant impact.
