The transfer of Nicola Zalewski to Atalanta is not going to unlock a deal for Inter Milan to sign Ademola Lookman.

This according to L’Eco di Bergamo, via FCInterNews.

The transfer saga between Inter, Atalanta, and Ademola Lookman has now dragged on for more than a month.

Inter have made two offers for the Nigerian international. First , they made a bid worth €40 million all-in. Then, after Atalanta rejected that, they increased it to €45 million including add-ons.

Atalanta then rejected Inter’s second bid for Lookman.

And in the meantime, the former RB Leipzig forward has done everything he possibly can to force through a move to Inter.

Lookman has publicly demanded a transfer. he has also no-showed training for well over a week.

Zalewski To Atalanta Doesn’t Unlock Inter Deal For Lookman

In the meantime, Atalanta have agreed a deal to sign wingback Nicola Zalewski from Inter.

Therefore, this has led to some speculation that La Dea could potentially soften their stance on Lookman.

However, according to L’Eco di Bergamo, that is not the case.

The newspaper report that the deal for Zalewski has not had anything to do with talks for Zalewski.

Therefore, if Inter want to try and sign Lookman, they will have to continue separate talks.
