Inter Milan have already chosen the first nine players who will be in their Under-23 team for the upcoming season.
This according to Italian outlet FCInter1908.
Next season, Inter Milan will set up a new Under-23 team.
Similar to the Juventus Next Gen and AC Milan Futuro sides, it will be an intermediary step between the Nerazzurri’s youth teams and senior teams.
The Bianconeri in particularly have enjoyed success with this approach. They have used their Next Gen team to bed in players who have played a big role in the senior team, or else been sold for a profit.
The shining example of this pathway would be Kenan Yildiz.
This approach would therefore be an alternative to having young players go out on loan for senior playing time.
And according to FCInter1908, Inter have already chosen the first nine players who will make up the core of the squad for the new Under-23 team.
Matteo Spinacce, Matteo Lavelli, Mattia Zanchetta, Luka Toplaovic, Christos Alexiou, Gabriele Re Cecconi, Matteo Motta, and Matteo Venturini will all be included.
On the other hand, reports FCIN1908, two notable names absent will be those of Matteo Cocchi and Giacomo De Pieri.
Rather, those two will go out on loan next season.
