Hakan Calhanoglu, Davide Frattesi, and Denzel Dumfries will be back for Inter Milan against River Plate.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They also report that Piotr Zielinski and Yann Bisseck will have to wait until the knockout rounds.
Inter Milan are currently without a few players due to injury.
Midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is currently recovering from a thigh injury he suffered during the Champions League final, Then, Davide Frattesi is also out with a muscle problem.
Wingback Denzel Dumfries is dealing with a muscular issue of his own.
And for midfielder Piotr Zielinski, a calf problem is keeping the Pole on the sidelines.
Lastly, Inter defender Yann Bisseck is also unavailable at the moment. Like Calhanoglu, the German suffered a thigh injury during the Champions League final loss to Paris Saint-Germain.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, all five of the above-mentioned quintet will miss Inter’s next match.
That means that they will sit out Saturday’s second Club World Cup group stage match against Urawa Red Diamonds.
However, anticipates the Gazzetta, three of the five can return for Inter’s following match.
The Nerazzurri face River Plate in their final group stage match next week.
And according to the Gazzetta, Calhanoglu, Frattesi, and Dumfries should all be available for that match.
On the other hand, Zielinski and Bisseck won’t be able to feature in that match..
Should Inter reach the knockouts, the Polish and German internationals will be targeting returns for the round of sixteen.
