Roma seem willing to walk out of the deal to sign Jadon Sancho despite reaching a full agreement with Manchester United, as the player has asked for more time to consider the Giallorossi’s offer.
Manchester United winger Sancho put talks with Roma on hold after the Giallorossi reached an agreement with the Red Devils over his transfer fee.
Coach Gian Piero Gasperini had even personally discussed a move with Sancho during two separate conference calls, and Roma expected a positive reply from the player this morning.
Sources with direct knowledge of the matter, however, tell me that Sancho has taken time, as he’s done with all other clubs interested in securing his services.
Roma, however, seem unwilling to wait longer, especially after reaching an agreement with the other parties involved, including the player’s representative, over agent fees.
Whether the Roma decision has been taken to put pressure on the player remains to be seen.
Sancho has returned to Manchester United after a one-season loan spell at Chelsea, scoring five goals and providing ten assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.
