Roma are dreaming of signing Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi for Gian Piero Gasperini.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They also report that Napoli and Atletico Madrid are keen on signing the 25-year-old.
It is hardly a secret that Roma are keen to sign Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi.
The Giallorossi had chased the Italian international throughout the January transfer window. This came amid Frattesi reportedly asking to leave due to a lack of playing time.
However, Inter rejected Roma’s advances. Frattesi stayed put for the second half of the season.
And it would be fair to say that the former Sassuolo midfielder has made an impact. He scored crucial goals against the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona in the Champions League.
However, Frattesi is still not a regular starter for Inter by any means. Despite the impact he’s had as a substitute.
Therefore, the 25-year-old could be on his way this summer.
And the Gazzetta confirm that Roma will still have a strong interest in Frattesi’s signature.
Moreover, the appointment of Gian Piero Gasperini as coach could mean that the Giallorossi really push to bring in the Italian international.
Gasperini’s arrival means that Roma will be more determined than ever to bolster their squad.
However, there will be no lack of competition form Frattesi’s signature. The Gazzetta report that Napoli and Atletico Madrid also want to sign the Italian international.
