Manchester United’s summer headlines continue to involve several figures connected to the club, with former manager Ruben Amorim now shaping his own project away from Old Trafford.
The Portuguese coach has wasted little time putting his ideas into action at his new club, with attacking reinforcements becoming one of the early priorities.
Amorim’s arrival at AC Milan has already seen the Italian giants move aggressively in the transfer market as they look to build a squad suited to his style of football.
The former United boss is expected to make several changes over the coming windows, with his recruitment strategy beginning to take shape.
Milan have now completed another major move under Amorim, securing the arrival of one of Europe’s highly rated forwards from Paris Saint-Germain.
The Serie A club officially announced, via their website, the signing of Portuguese striker Goncalo Ramos, confirming that the forward has agreed a contract running until June 2031.
Ramos becomes Amorim’s second signing since taking charge at Milan, following the arrival of Francesco Camara as the new manager continues to put together his squad.
Milan confirmed the deal in a statement, saying, “AC Milan today announced the signing of Goncalo Matias Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain FC.”
The club added, “The Portuguese striker has signed a contract with the Club until 30 June 2031.”
The 25-year-old forward developed through the academies of S.C. Olhanense and Benfica before breaking into senior football, where he established himself as one of Portugal’s brightest attacking talents.
During his Benfica spell, Ramos made more than 100 appearances and scored 41 goals, while helping the club win the Primeira Liga title during the 2022/23 campaign.
He then moved to PSG in 2023 and continued competing at the highest level, winning three Ligue 1 titles, two Coupe de France trophies, three Trophee des Champions, two UEFA Champions League titles, one UEFA Super Cup and one FIFA Intercontinental Cup.
Ramos leaves Paris having scored 45 goals in 131 appearances, while also contributing at international level with Portugal, where he has found the net 10 times in 26 matches.
According to Fabrizio Romano, via X, Milan are paying €74 million plus add-ons for the striker, making him the most expensive signing in the club’s history.
