In the final minutes of the match against Crystal Palace, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes was seen holding his hamstring.

The Red Devils secured a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon, with Bruno Fernandes registering both assists.

Fernandes’ free-kicks set up Joshua Zirkzee and Mason Mount, with both players scoring their first goals of the season.

The skipper was lauded by United fans for spearheading the second-half comeback, yet their relief quickly turned to anxiety in the closing moments when he clutched his hamstring.

Fernandes has featured in every game for United this season, so Ruben Amorim will be relieved that the issue does not look serious.

Since joining from Sporting CP in 2020, the Portuguese star has missed only three games due to injury, and he has rarely been unavailable throughout his career.

Speaking after the final whistle, Amorim addressed the incident and clarified that there was no reason to be concerned.

The manager told TNT Sports: “It was a kick. I was shouting at him because he needs to learn that we will make a substitution if he talks to the bench.

“But he said it was just a kick, so everything is okay.”

If there are no further concerns, Fernandes should be available for Thursday night’s match against West Ham.

Man United injury news after Crystal Palace win

Manchester United picked up three points at Selhurst Park despite being without Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and Harry Maguire.

All three face a race against time to return before Thursday’s match, with Amorim already short of options in attack.

On the other hand, Lisandro Martinez did manage to make his return, coming on for the final 10 minutes against Crystal Palace.

Amorim’s defensive options are deep, but he lacks sufficient choices in attack.
