Udinese midfielder Martin Payero is set to join Cremonese on an initial loan deal, while Lecce will make a final attempt for Nikola Stulic, and Alessandro Zanoli has two options after Bologna picked Nadir Zortea.
Sources with direct knowledge of the matter exclusively tell me that Udinese midfielder Payero is set to join newly promoted side Cremonese on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy in case of survival. Th e deal is worth €6m plus a 15% sell-on clause. The midfielder will sign a multi-year contract worth €1.4m per season.
In the meantime, Lecce are preparing to replace Nikola Krstovic, who is set to join Atalanta.
The Salentini are admirers of 23-year-old Royal Charleroi SC forward Stulic, but the latter has expressed the desire to stay at his current club until the end of his contract in June 2026. Lecce will make a final attempt in the coming hours before moving to different targets.
As for Zanoli, Bologna have picked Cagliari’s Zortea for the right-back position, so the Napoli defender has two options: move to Udinese or stay at the Stadio Maradona, but only if the Partenopei don’t unlock the Juanlu Sanchez deal with Sevilla.
