Leeds United are reportedly vying to secure the signature of Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall, with the Reds setting a £6 million price tag, as per Alan Nixon’s report. The club is eager to bring the centre-back to the Championship before the end of the transfer window this week. However, they are not alone in their pursuit, facing competition from Sheffield United.

At 27 years old, Joe Worrall is confronting an uncertain future at the City Ground, with his playing time diminishing in recent times. Despite this, he is still currently the official club captain.

According to the latest update from reporter Nixon on his Patreon page, Nottingham Forest are seeking a fee of £6 million for Worrall’s transfer, amidst interest from both Leeds United and Sheffield United. However, it is understood that the Blades are only looking at temporary signings this window, which likely rules them out of a move for Worrall.

The former England youth international played a crucial role in helping Nottingham Forest achieve promotion back in 2022 under their former manager Steve Cooper. Worrall has been with the Reds for his entire career thus far, progressing through their academy ranks.

If the 27-year-old did move to Sheffield United he would be linking up with his former Forest teammate Ben Brereton-Diaz.
