José Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe are close to signing Marco Asensio from PSG after the Spaniard was offered to Inter.
Fenerbahce are close to reaching an agreement with PSG for Asensio.
Sources with direct knowledge of the matter tell me that representatives of the Turkish club held talks with PSG on Thursday night and are now close to finalising the deal.
Asensio has returned to PSG after a six-month loan spell at Aston Villa in the second part of the 2024-25 campaign.
As Football Italia reported earlier this week, Asensio has been offered to Inter multiple times since January, but the Nerazzurri have never held formal talks, probably because they need to free up space up front.
Asensio’s move to San Siro would not be easy or affordable anyway, as the 29-year-old’s salary in Paris is quite high.
Fenerbahçe are now pushing to finalise an agreement with the Spaniard and his club, and give Mourinho an attacking reinforcement for the 2025-26 season.
