Tottenham Hotspur continue to build towards the 2024/25 season. The club has brought in the likes of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United and Joao Palhinha on loan from Bayern Munich.
The club has also let go of club captain Son Heung-min. The South Korean superstar has made his way to the MLS, where he will link up with Los Angeles FC to continue his career, bringing down the curtains on a glorious 10-year stint at the N17.
Sonny’s exit this summer leave a hole on the left-wing that the club might be keen to address. Bringing in a new left-winger might be the play for Thomas Frank and the next few weeks provide Spurs with an opportunity to do just that.

One of the players that Spurs are linked with is Alejandro Garnacho. The Argentinian wonderkid is out of Ruben Amorim’s plans at Man Utd and has interest from a number of clubs both in England and elsewhere.
Now, journalist Graeme Bailey, talking to TBR Football, has addressed what the future holds for Garnacho amid interest and he has mentioned that Chelsea might be the frontrunners at the moment. He said:
“A move to Stamford Bridge does (stand out to him). Spurs and Villa like him, but Chelsea have done a lot of work so far.”
Garnacho seems to have his heart set on a move to Stamford Bridge. However, the deal is far from being done and Tottenham can try and tempt him by offering him a more starring role in the squad than the Blues can offer.
The 21-year-old was rated very highly when he broke onto the scene at Old Trafford but his last season under Amorim was far from ideal. Former United manager Erik ten Hag labelled Garnacho as a player “everyone likes”.
While it certainly might not be an easy deal to pull off, Spurs should undoubtedly push ahead to try and convince Garnacho of a future in North London. Should they pull it off, it would be a massive coup. Let’s wait and see how it plays out.
