Arsenal’s summer recruit, Cristhian Mosquera, has made a solid start to life in North London.
After a steady 27 minute cameo against Leeds, Mosquera delivered a standout 86 minute shift replacing the injured William Saliba in Arsenal’s narrow 1-0 defeat to Liverpool.
That performance alone had Gooners convinced they had unearthed a future superstar.
Just the other day, the 21 year old hinted at one key factor behind his bright start at Arsenal, and now he has doubled down on those comments in a fresh interview with ABC.
“He is a great coach,” Mosquera said of Arteta, before revealing what sets the Spaniard apart and helps bring the best out of his players.
“What I like most about him is his attention to detail. That gives him a plus.
“I was really impressed by the conversation I had with him before arriving at Arsenal.
“That is why I am joining one of the best defences in the world. To learn, improve, and earn my place.”
Gooners will be thrilled with Mosquera’s admissions. It is clear he trusts Arteta to unlock his potential, and that is a challenge the Arsenal manager will relish.
With William Saliba sidelined, Mosquera is expected to play a key role in the coming weeks. If he grabs his chance, he could prove to be a genuine transfer masterstroke.
Having already impressed against one of the league’s most dangerous attacks in Liverpool, fans will feel confident that with Mosquera alongside Gabriel Magalhaes, Arsenal’s defence remains in safe hands.
