Supercomputer predicts Arsenal chance of retaining the league title
USA TODAY Sports via Reuters Connect

Arsenal remain the team to beat in the Premier League, and the Gunners will do their best to ensure they win the title again this season. They are the defending champions, and all their rivals want to stop them from retaining the crown, but Mikel Arteta will be looking to ensure that his team remains in fine form.

The men at the Emirates have performed well over the last few seasons and appear to have the most stable squad and managerial situation in the league. Those two factors are significant advantages that could help Arsenal mount another title challenge, and even supercomputers believe they could be champions again at the end of this term.

Opta Predict Arsenal To Win Again

Opta’s supercomputer has predicted the title race, and it believes the Gunners are the team to beat, giving them a 38 per cent chance of becoming champions by the end of this season. The prediction highlights the confidence surrounding Arsenal ahead of another campaign.

The Gunners will still face strong competition from their rivals, with Manchester City considered the team most capable of stopping Arsenal from retaining the title. The race is expected to be competitive, particularly with several clubs hoping to challenge for the crown.

Manchester City And Liverpool In Pursuit

City, with Enzo Maresca, have been given a 20.5 per cent chance of winning the title. That makes them Arsenal’s closest challengers according to the prediction, although the gap between the two sides shows the confidence in the Gunners.

Liverpool emerge as the third favourites, with a 9.2 per cent chance of becoming champions by the summer of 2027. Their position means they remain part of the title conversation, but the prediction places Arsenal clearly ahead of their main rivals.

Arsenal will therefore begin the season with expectations high, but they must still prove their quality on the pitch. Arteta will know that retaining the Premier League title will require consistency throughout the campaign, while their rivals will be determined to prevent the Gunners from lifting the trophy again.
