Cristiano Ronaldo ‘s return to Manchester United was one of the most exciting events for the Red Devils in recent years. The forward was in red-hot form as he bagged goal after goal during his 40 appearances between 2021 and 2022. However, things went sour between the player and manager Erik ten Hag, who relegated him to the bench.
Ronaldo eventually left for the Saudi Pro League and has captained Al-Nassr ever since. Years after his departure from Old Trafford, Ronaldo opened up about his feelings for the club. He pointed fingers at Ten Hag while also suggesting what the club had to do to bounce back to its former state of glory.
You (Ten Hag) cannot say that you're not going to fight to win the Premier League and Champions League. Maybe you don't have the potential but you have to try. Cristiano Ronaldo told Rio Ferdinand via FIVEUK

United finished at an all-time low of 8th in the Premier League last season while Ronaldo recently touched the 900 goal mark in his career.
Manchester United have lost two of their first three games in the Premier League this season. Manager Erik ten Hag has struggled to establish consistency within his squad, not being able to produce results when it matters the most. Except for the FA Cup trophy last season, United finished extremely low in the League while conceding a record number of goals.
In a recent interaction with United legend Rio Ferdinand, Ronaldo said that the club has to be rebuilt completely. While Cristiano Ronaldo expressed his happiness at the changes that are observable at the club, he still regrets the way he parted ways with them.
Man United need time to rebuild. They're still one of the biggest clubs in the world but they need to change. The structure, President, infrastructure, everything. Cristiano Ronaldo told Rio Ferdinand via FIVEUK

However, the forward is doing well for himself, as he recently took center stage for Portugal scoring twice in the International break. Ronaldo’s interview with Ferdinand has gone viral on social media.
