Arsenal under Mikel Arteta has been one of the best teams in Europe over the last few years. One of the biggest criticisms the team receives is the lack of trophies.

Arteta's Arsenal team has finished second in the Premier League for three seasons in a row. Arsenal fans demanded more investment in the sqaud as injuries have hindered their chances for a title charge in the league and in other competitions like the Champions League.

Arsenal made eight signings this summer for this new season, including important players like Viktor Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze, and Martin Zubimendi.

With Arsenal's transfer window adding depth to the team, Arsenal legend Thierry Henry wants to hear no excuses for Arsenal falling short when chasing trophies this season.

Henry was impressed with the Arsenal squad ahead of their Champions League opener against Athletic Bilbao. Henry spoke on the CBS Champions League about the squad

Thierry Henry: "Right now, I will say that nobody has a team as deep as Arsenal, in terms of the quality they can have. Some teams can give them a good run for the starting eleven, but if you look at the team itself it’s almost two teams. When you see who is on the bench tonight [vs Athletic Club] and you’re still missing [Martin] Odegaard, Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus… when you look at that, the team is well-equipped to play in all competitions."

Thierry Henry's message to Arsenal for this season

Arsenal's transfer activity has added pressure to the team in delivering a trophy for the fans, and Thierry Henry agreed on the demands for silverware.

Thierry Henry: "You have to win something...I still believe that it is possible but this year you cannot go back and talk about injuries, which they are happening, like they are happening at other clubs also...But you have to bring something this year, no more excuses, you have the squad now, you have everything you need to have in order to perform."

Arsenal started the season well, as they are among the top teams in the Premier League with nine points after four matches. Arsenal started their Champions League campaign with a 2-0 win over Athletic Bilbao with goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.
