TalkSPORT host Andy Goldstein admitted he feels sorry for Chelsea fans because the club’s owners don’t care about winning.

Chelsea slumped to their fourth consecutive league defeat without scoring as they lost 1-0 to Manchester United on Saturday evening.

The Blues have only won one of their last seven games, which was against League One side Port Vale in the FA Cup.

TalkSPORT host feels sorry for Chelsea fans

Before the game Chelsea and Strasbourg fans united to protest against BlueCo, with thousands lining the streets to voice their dissatisfaction.

The Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital ownership inherited a Champions League winning squad, but Chelsea couldn’t be anymore unrecognisable at this point.

The Blues are staring one Champions League qualification in four years right in the face, and Joe Cole has warned players will want to leave.

Co-owner Behdad Eghbali has said the model will be tweaked, but fans rightly won’t believe that until they see it.

Chelsea fans are used to success and winning, and talkSPORT host Goldstein believes the owners only care about the business model.

“Chelsea used to have an owner in Roman Abramovich who only cared about football and winning,” he told talkSPORT as quoted on X.com.

“Now they’ve got owners who only care about the business model and whether or not the business makes money. This is why I feel sorry for the fans.”

The Blues have suffered a double injury blow with both Enzo Fernandez and Estevao forced off against United in more bad news for Rosenior.

Estevao has suffered a hamstring injury and was reportedly in tears, whilst Fernandez has picked up what appears to be a calf issue.
