Thomas Frank plays telling role in attracting PL star to Tottenham; Journo confirms

Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze thanks to Thomas Frank

Tottenham are about to end the transfer window with some brilliant signings for the new season. The Lilywhites managed to land Mohammed Kudus from West Ham and Joao Palhinha from Bayern Munich earlier in the summer. And it is fair to say that the club’s tr ajectory was heading upwards after two positive signings. But now, Daniel Levy is about to add another statement signing to the mix.

The North London club were on the hunt for an attacking midfielder ever since James Maddison ruptured his ACL earlier this month. The Lilywhites had no intentions of entering the market for a #10 before the England international’s injury. So, landing an attacker that could fill Maddison’s void in the team in such a short time was always going to be a task.

However, Daniel Levy has managed to work his magic and Spurs are getting ready to bring in an attacker that can operate either as a #10, or as a left-winger. Bringing in another player to address the issues on the pitch means that the North London club can finally compete on all four fronts this season under Thomas Frank.

How did Tottenham convince Eberechi Eze to join the club?

Tottenham are about to sign a player that has made waves in the Premier League in recent years. The Lilywhites are on the verge of sealing the deal for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze. It was reported earlier that Daniel Levy arranged direct talks with Palace chairman Steve Parish for Eze’s signatur e. And it looks like both clubs have reached an agreement for the transfer. The England international was also keen to move to N17.

Now, Graeme Bailey has revealed how Spurs convince Eze to join the club in the first place. Speaking to TBR Football, Bailey said,

“Eze has spoken with Frank, and I am told that it took very little time for Eze to realise that this was the right move. Eze was deemed a good fit from the offer, but Frank’s vision for him certainly hit the spot. Frank firmly believes that Eze could be a cornerstone of his Spurs project – he rates him that highly.”

Graeme Bailey suggests that Thomas Frank contacted Eberechi Eze and convince the England international that he was going to be a vital part of the team. The England international was immediately convinced to join the Lilywhites as Thomas Frank promised to play him to his strengths. Bailey adds that the Danish tactician rates Eze highly and believes he is the perfect player to take the club forward.

Good times might be coming for Spurs as they add a brilliant player in Eberechi Eze to the mix. Signing the England international is a milestone as he is a big-game player and likes to perform when it matters the most. The 27-year-old is already a Crystal Palace legend after helping the club win the FA Cup last season. He managed to score in the quarter-final, semi-final, and final of the competition to lead Palace to glory.
