Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel is no stranger to working with superstars and strong personalities within his squad. However, each dressing room has its differences.
After spending almost a year with the German giants, Tuchel recently shared his thoughts on the differences between Bayern Munich and PSG. The 50-year-old notes that he scoffs at the idea that the Bundesliga side has players whose behavior is unacceptable.
Furthermore, Tuchel says managing PSG gave him a different perspective on handling a dressing room.
“Here at Bayern, when I hear that a certain player’s behavior is unacceptable, I laugh because I think: ‘You have no idea what we had to deal with in Paris!’ and I calm down,” Tuchel said.
“In Paris, the group is always willing to play for a superstar to score goals, no problem. The problem is when that superstar doesn’t give anything back to the rest of the group or doesn’t show any respect!”

Under Tuchel, PSG has arguably had the best success in the Qatar Sports Investment era. The German manager took the Ligue 1 side to the UEFA Champions League final in 2020, where they fell to Bayern Munich.
Nonetheless, it was a team with plenty of superstars, such as Neymar Jr. and Kylian Mbappé among others. Manager Luis Enrique will look to navigate a similar situation, but this time, lift a Champions League trophy for the French giants.
