Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton could be heading to Tottenham in the summer

Tottenham have done a tremendous job in recent transfer windows. The Lilywhites have managed to add young talents to their ranks and have secured the future of the club for the next decade. The transfer strategy adapted by Spurs has caught the eye of other clubs, as they are also following suit and implementing the same policy. Now, the North London club are interested in bringing in Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton.

The talented midfielder has made waves since his making his debut for the Eagles last season. He has been a starter for Oliver Glasner’s side and plays at the heart of the midfield for the South London club. The 21-year-old’s brilliant performances last season helped him earn a place in England’s Euro 2024 squad in Germany as well.

Wharton has already become a fan favourite at Selhurst Park. His most recent performance for the Eagles came in the FA Cup semi-final win against Aston Villa. The Palace No.20 was brilliant throughout the game and was one of the standout performers for his side. The talented midfielder is tipped to have a successful career in English football and be a massive part of the national team for upcoming tournaments.

Tottenham are keen on Adam Wharton from Crystal Palace

It is no surprise that Adam Wharton has generated so much interest from other clubs in recent months. The midfielder’s season did not start on the best of terms due to an injury, but the 21-year-old has now managed to cement his place in the starting eleven and become a crucial part of Oliver Glasner’s side. He also has the chance to win silverware this season for the Eagles, as they take on Manchester City in the FA Cup final in May.

According to GiveMeSport, Tottenham are keen on bringing Wharton to N17. The Lilywhites believe he will be a perfect fit at the heart of the midfield and will form a brilliant partnership with Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray. Spurs believe that signing the Crystal Palace star would help the club take a massive step towards success and it would also ensure that the midfield is secured for the next decade.

However, Tottenham is not the only team that is interested in signing the youngster. Liverpool and Manchester United are also keen on adding Wharton to their ranks and believe he has all the potential to become a world-class player in the future. But Fabrizio Romano has suggested that none of the three clubs are close to signing the 21-year-old yet and Palace would only consider selling Wharton if a suitable bid arrives.

Will Adam Wharton fit in at Tottenham?

Adam Wharton has taken massive strides since joining Crystal Palace last season. The midfielder is one of the first names on the team sheet and has become a crucial part of the setup under Oliver Glasner. The 21-year-old has also managed to make his England debut and was part of the national team’s Euro 2024 squad last summer.

As per Sofascore, Wharton has managed to play 25 games in all competitions this season. The talented youngster missed the first part of the season due to injury, but has been integrated into the starting eleven after recovering. Since joining Selhurst Park last season, the Palace No.20 has managed to register five assists in 40 appearances.

Will he fit in at Tottenham? The answer is yes. With Yves Bissouma, Rodrigo Bentancur, and James Maddison heading for an exit from N17, it is the perfect time for Spurs to break the bank and sign Wharton for next season. His ability to play line-breaking passes and progress the ball forward will benefit Tottenham. Wharton also has great positional awareness and tends to control the tempo of the game. He will be a perfect fit and could link-up with Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray for years to come.
