Tottenham officials are monitoring highly-rated Corinthians talent.

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to upgrade their attacking unit when the summer transfer window comes around. They have been struggling to create and score goals all season, with Spurs’ wingers and strikers proving ineffective.

It is clear that the Lilywhites need reinforcements in wide areas. Wilson Odobert has suffered an ACL injury and is unlikely to return to action this year, while Brennan Johnson was sold to Crystal Palace during the winter transfer window. Mathys Tel has been in and out of the team, which shows his inconsistency.

Mohammed Kudus was Tottenham’s brightest spot in attack in the first half of the season. Unfortunately, he has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a setback on his return from a quad injury. This is where a need arises for the Lilywhites to bring in a player who tries to take players on and impacts games in the final third with his flair and dribbles from out wide.

Tottenham make informal checks for Corinthians talent

According to an exclusive report from Sport Witness, Tottenham have made informal checks on Corinthians attacker Kayke. No formal approach has been made so far, only monitoring.

A product of the Corinthians academy, Kayke broke into the senior side in 2024 against rivals São Paulo. The 21-year-old has since enjoyed playing opportunities in the first team. In this season, the skilful winger has registered two goals in 14 appearances.

Kayke has benefited largely from Memphis Depay’s right thigh injury, earning the trust of new manager Fernando Diniz. This has led to the young Brazilian getting opportunities to showcase his talent in the starting XI.

Unfortunately, he sustained an injury against Barra in the Copa Do Brasil. Kayke had to be immediately substituted after he went down with a knee problem. The player was seen in tears, which signalled a serious injury. The report adds that there was early concern internally about a potential ACL injury. However, nothing has been confirmed yet, and further tests will happen to gauge the severity of Kayke’s knee injury.

If it is an ACL tear, then that is a massive blow for Kayke and rules him out for the remainder of the season. Spurs had only started scouting the Brazilian attacker, and he has now sustained a potentially serious knee issue. For now, everything comes to a standstill. The player will undergo several tests to determine the issue. Tottenham officials will sit back and wait.
