Spurs face West Ham in a fierce London derby, where even half-and-half scarves have been banned. The fixture takes place at 17:30 BST on September 13 from the London Stadium. The Lilywhites look to bounce back from a difficult 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth at home. Here is our Tottenham Hotspur predicted lineup vs West Ham United.
Tottenham have lined up in a 4-3-3 formation this season, due to a lack of a number ten. However, the arrival of Xavi Simons might change that.
In goal, Guglielmo Vicario has been one of the best goalkeepers in the league. Pedro Porro and Djed Spence are the full-backs, with the latter playing slightly out of position on the left, as he did last season as well. Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero are a very strong, quick centre-back partnership.
Rodrigo Bentancur, Joao Palhinha, and Pape Matar Sarr fill out the midfield. Some thought that Sarr would play as an unconventional number ten, after a pre-season in which he looked dangerous, but it appears to be more of a flat three with Palhinha the deeper-lying one.
Brennan Johnson plays on the left-wing whilst Mohammed Kudus has had a bright start to life in North London on the right, particularly in their season opener vs Burnley. He faces his former club today. Richarlison leads the line with two goals and an assist this campaign.
Thomas Frank has had to deal with quite a few injuries in his first months at Spurs, but summer business has helped. Both Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison are out, hence the Simons signing. Dominic Solanke is injured, though Richarlison appears to be holding down his position regardless.
Yves Bissouma may be out for this fixture. Meanwhile, in defence, Kota Takai and Radu Dragusin are unavailable.
