Tottenham Hotspur had a roller-coaster of a 2025 summer transfer window as the North London club saw one of its most beloved players leave, got in some very exciting new signings, and also faced humiliation in some of its operations, most prominently in that of Eberechi Eze as he signed for their local rivals, Arsenal.
However, the biggest surprise for the Lilywhite club came a few days after the end of the transfer window, as Daniel Levy stepped down from his Executive Chairman role after leading the club for the last 25 years.
With this episode, Spurs are now entering a new era in their history and the early course of this new era will be determined to a significant extent when the new administration takes charge.
Meanwhile, speculation is rife on what the future moves Tottenham will take. In this regard, GivemeSport reports that the journalist Dean Jones has revealed that the North London club is looking to start this new era with two ‘huge’ moves in the transfer market.
The journalist explains that Spurs are expecting a cash injection into their coffers with the change in administration, which will help them bring more elite players into their ranks over the next two years. For the upcoming year, the club is looking for a proven center-back and another attacker to accompany the likes of Richarlison, Mohammed Kudus, Xavi Simons, and Brennan Johnson, etc.
During his time in charge of the Lilywhite club, one of the biggest concern of the fans was that Tottenham did not make as many moves in the market that would have allowed them to compete for the biggest titles regularly.
Hopefully, this trend will change with the momentous changes that have taken place at the club in these last few days, and if these claims from Dean Jones are true, early signs are already encouraging. Two new elite players in defense and attack can definitely help Thomas Frank lead his team as they fight for the biggest titles in the years to come.
