Tottenham star Mohammed Kudus is already showcasing all his talent and true potential during the first few months at N17. The Ghana international was one of the standout players on the pitch during the first Premier League game of the season against Burnley. The debutant also managed to grab two assists for the Lilywhites, whilst showboa ting and exhibiting some tricks and skills down the right flank.
It is fair to say that the 24-year-old certainly enjoyed his home debut for the North London club. And Kudus is aiming to continue to this momentum and reach for the stars as Spurs prepare to build on the Europa League success. The Ghana international admitted that he was satisfied with his performance last weekend, but indicated that the season is long and there is still a ‘long marathon’ to go.
Now, the ex-West Ham star will hope that he can continue to perform week in week out and cement his place in the starting eleven under Thomas Frank. It is clear to see that Mohammed Kudus will play a vital part for Spurs under the Danish tactician. And it is upon on him to make an impact for the Lilywhites whenever he gets the chance.
Tottenham’s signing of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham was all over the news as the Lilywhites managed to grab a wonderful player on a cheap. The Ghana international also indicated his desire to join Spurs during the negotiations, forcing the Hammers to eventually budge regarding the transfer price. To make matters worse, Kudus also praised Tottenham while taking a subtle dig at the Hammers during his first interview with the club.
Now, ex-West Ham player Martin Allen has given his thoughts on Kudus’ slight dig at the Hammers. Speaking to West Ham Zone, Allen said,
“I don’t think Kudus has helped himself with the comments that he made after joining Spurs. He made some nasty comments about how much he loves Tottenham, and they have made plenty of West Ham fans unhappy.”
Martin Allen has suggested that Mohammed Kudus did not do any favours on himself after talking down on West Ham United. The ex-player added that the Ghana international made some unnecessary comments about ‘loving’ Tottenham and it was not needed. Allen also indicated that Kudus’ comments might have surely hurt the West Ham faithful.
Spurs take on the Hammers in a few weeks’ time at the London Stadium in the Premier League. And it is fair to say that Mohammed Kudus will not be getting a heroic welcome to the place he once called home. All eyes will be on how the 24-year-old manages to silent the critics and perform exceptionally for the Lilywhites against their London rivals.
