Freiburg goalkeeper Noah Atubolu has been linked with a move away from the German club at the end of the season, and Tottenham Hotspur are keen on him.

According to a report from FussballDaten, the North London club have shortlisted him as a target for the summer transfer window, and their scouts have given him top marks for his ability as a goalkeeper and his passing skills.

Noah Atubolu could be a superb addition

Atubolu is more than just a shot stopper, and he will help Tottenham build from the back. He is expected to be the first-choice goalkeeper for the German national team in the future, and he could also be a key player for Tottenham.

The report claims that the German goalkeeper is one of the most wanted transfer targets for multiple clubs because of his “elite qualities”.

The player could cost around €35 million in the summer, and Tottenham certainly have the financial muscle to get the deal done. The report further claims that a move to Tottenham would be a “dream move” for the player.

Atubolu could fancy a move

The transfer would benefit him financially as well as in sporting terms. He would get to compete at the highest level, and regular football in the Premier League could help him improve further and fulfil his potential. Joining a top Premier League club could help him secure his place in the German national team as well.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham follow up on their interest with an official proposal to get the deal done.

Clubs like Inter Milan, Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen, and Eintracht Frankfurt are also interested in signing the 23-year-old goalkeeper. It remains to be seen where he ends up.
