Turns out, not paying your bar tab can turn into a whole newsworthy mess.
At least, that is what is going on with USMNT and Atlanta United defender Miles Robinson, who was arrested for misdemeanor theft last weekend after refusing to pay for a $5 shot at an Atlanta bar.
According to multiple reports, Robinson took a shot off of a tray and then refused to pay for it when he was asked to. Management at the bar then had him escorted off the premises by police.
To clarify: Robinson was arrested for "Theft by Taking", a misdemeanor, at 10:45 p.m. ET in The Battery in Cobb County. Allegedly for refusing to pay for a shot he took from a waiter. His bond was $150. The CCSO report says he was released the next day at 12:13 p.m. ET.

Robinson was detained by Cobb County Police and released on a $150 bond, ESPN reported. He was also issued a "criminal trespass warning." A report later in the day said that Robinson kept repeating "All this over five dollars, bro..." and accused the bartender of being racist.

The exact nature of the incident is still a bit fuzzy and it still isn't sure what transpired between Robinson and the bar staff before they had him escorted out other than that they wanted him to pay for a drink and he refused.
Atlanta United has not said yet whether Robinson will be suspended for the incident, only saying in a statement: "We are aware of a recent misdemeanor arrest involving Miles Robinson. We are continuing to gather all information related to the incident and will not have further comment at this time."
The team's next game is Saturday against Toronto FC.
