Victor Osimhen makes decision on his next club amid Manchester United transfer links

Victor Osimhen’s future has taken another turn after fresh reports around Galatasaray and Manchester United, following his standout season on loan in Turkey.

The Nigerian forward appeared to enjoy his time in Istanbul, and there have been growing questions about whether he could be tempted back, especially given the lack of clarity over his role at Napoli this season.

The Italian club’s refusal to discount the release clause means any move will likely depend on how far Galatasaray – or Manchester United – are willing to push.

The club’s readiness to move on comes in part due to Osimhen’s status within the squad, where he’s not seen as first choice.

Galatasaray are pushing hard to bring him back, especially after a loan spell that included 45 goal contributions in just 41 appearances, helping the club secure another league title.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Osimhen wants to stay in Istanbul after last season’s success under Okan Buruk’s management.

The report states the Super Lig champions are now seeking an agreement with Napoli’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis, who is expected to hold firm on the player’s release clause.

That doesn’t mean Man United are out of the race, with no agreement reached between the clubs yet. However, the British giants have suffered a setback due to the striker’s preference.

Victor Osimhen has already revealed his desire to Galatasaray

The reports from Italy say that the striker has also communicated his intentions to the Turkish club, who are now working to finalise a deal with Napoli.

Galatasaray have reportedly begun talks with Napoli owner to secure Osimhen – but they face a £64m release clause that the Serie A side have no intention of lowering.

Osimhen is reported to be eager to return to Galatasaray, where he enjoyed a strong season last year – and that could well open a door for Manchester United to pursue another of their attacking targets.
