Stefano Pioli is expected to part ways with Milan at the end of the season and several managers have been linked with the club in recent days. As confirmed by a report, the decision will be made in the next few days.

It has been a disappointing season for Milan, having been knocked out of the Champions League, the Coppa Italia and the Europa League. Furthermore, adding insult to injury, Inter could clinch the Scudetto in the derby tomorrow evening.

According to Antonio Vitiello, a decision is yet to be made on the new manager but it’s expected ‘in the next few days’. Gerry Cardinale will be in Milano to attend the derby and he will then sit down with the management, with many names proposed to the club in recent days.

As the journalist continues, the decision will be ‘collegial’ and nothing will be decided unless everyone agrees that it’s the right solution for Milan. Cardinale and the directors still have great respect for Pioli, so there will likely be no communications until the end of the season.

Nevertheless, Milan are working on the post-Pioli era and it will be interesting to see the outcome of their discussions. As highlighted by Gianluca Di Marzio, the Rossoneri have several candidates on their list, while Gazzetta dello Sport has added a few more to the mix.
