Tottenham travel to Molineux Stadium to take on Wolves.

With five games to go and two points already to make up for, Tottenham Hotspur are already under a lot of pressure. This Lilywhites team has been staring at wrong results for a while, and that shows in the fact that the North Londoners are without a league win in the ongoing calendar year.

And this is where Roberto De Zerbi will take his side on a trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers in what is not just another game but more of a line in the sand, as this is the Lilywhites’ best chance at winning the game of their recent run. And a win here means there will suddenly be a narrative shift. But at the same time, drop points here and history starts looming on their heads.

And the statistics are alarming; around N17 are quite alarming right now as Spurs go into this game against Wolves after a run of fifteen straight league games without a win. And even a mere draw at Monileux would still take over that long-standing record which has stood since the 1930s.

Fifteen games without winning is worrisome, but this run will go into the history books if Tottenham fail to break this run tomorrow.

That being said, Tottenham still remains in contention to end up surviving in the English top tier despite relegation rivals West Ham getting a massive boost going into their game against Everton this weekend.

While Tottenham are holding things by a thread, Wolves have already sealed their relegation fate. They have already been relegated, so there is not any sense of pressure and expectations for them going into the game against the Lilywhites.

But this in itself can often be a double-edged sword, as they can come out playing with this newfound freedom and end up surprising Tottenham.

While recent performances at Wolves have been quite vulnerable, they have not lost to Spurs in their last six games.

And for a Tottenham side that is already struggling to find their form, having a team that you’ve struggled against, like Wolves, is extremely troubling, especially if they end up not winning the game this Saturday.

Tottenham did show some brilliance in the 2-2 draw against Brighton, where Xavi Simons controlled the game with his passing and scoring ability. But then the Lilywhites quickly lost control of the game.

Team News

Wolves

Wolves had a damning outing against Leeds in terms of results as well as injuries last week. Man Utd academy graduate Angel Gomes picked up a toe injury in the first half. Ladislav Krejci also had a problem late in the game. Both of them are doubtful going into the game this weekend.

Jose Sa is also in doubt because of a shoulder problem.

And then all of Matt Doherty, Enso Gonzalez and Sam Johnstone will be out of the game. Yerson Mosquera is also definitely out as he serves his suspension.

Tottenham

There was one positive in the Lilywhites’ draw against Brighton as they welcomed back James Maddison in the match-day squad for the first time in the ongoing 2025/26 campaign. His absence was quite cited among Lilywhites supporters when speaking about lack of creativity this season. While he was an unused substitute, the minutes should start coming soon for him.

Apart from him, it is not expected that Tottenham will have anyone else back among contention for this weekend’s game. All of Vicario, Kudus, Davies, Odobert, Kulusevski and Romero continue to serve the treatment room.

Udogie has emerged as a doubt for the game for an unspecified problem.

There could still be changes in the starting eleven after both Kolo Muani and Yves Bissouma have produced underwhelming performances recently. Arsenal target Lucas Bergvall could find himself in contention after his impressive cameo against the Seagulls.

Predicted lineups

Wolves:

Bentley; Tchatchoua, Toti, S. Bueno, H. Bueno; J. Gomes, Andre, Mane; Bellegarde, Armstrong, Hwang

Spurs:

Kinsky, Porro, Danso, Van de Ven, Spence; Bergvall, Bentancur, Gallagher; Tel, Solanke, Simons

Prediction

Tottenham haven’t managed to break the winless run for some time while Wolves are breaking down both on the pitch and off it and it looks like this could finally be the day that Tottenham manage to win.
