
The 4th Round of the FA Cup starts today, and two EFL Championship teams will play against each other. Wrexham and Ipswich Town will face off at STōk Cae Ras.
The two teams are in the top positions of the EFL Championship in hopes of getting promoted to the Premier League next season. Ipswich Town is 3rd with 54 points, and Wrexham is 6th with 47 points.
Over the weekend, Wrexham lost 0-2 at home to Millwall in the Championship. Ipswich Town defeated Derby County 2-1 away from home with an own goal from Lewis Travis and a goal from Leif Davis.
Wrexham reached this stage of the FA Cup by eliminating Nottingham Forest in Round 3. Wrexham drew 3-3 with Forest, and after extra time, the match was decided through a penalty shootout. Wrexham won the penalty shootout 4-3.
In Round 3, Ipswich Town defeated Blackpool 2-1 at home. The goalscorers for Ipswich were Jaden Philogene-Bidace and Chuba Akpom.
Wrexham and Ipswich Town played each other earlier this season in the EFL Championship. The match finished in a 0-0 draw at Portman Road on November 22, 2025.
Wrexham vs Ipswich Town will kick off at 2:45 p.m. ET/ 11:45 a.m. PT in the United States. The match will kick off at 7:45 p.m. local time in Wrexham, Wales, UK.
