Napoli midfielder Andre-Franck Zambo Anguissa looks set to be awarded a new contract with the Serie A side, which would tie him to Naples until 2028.

According to what has been reported by Italian newspaper La Repubblica this morning, via TMW, the Cameroon international will extend his stay with Napoli – as the club’s management seek to provide Antonio Conte with stability – in addition to new signings.

Anguissa staying a good sign for Napoli

Zambo Anguissa has been ever-present for the Neapolitan side since signing in 2022 – making 130 Serie A appearances for the club and 153 in all competitions.

The Cameroonian signed for the club from Premier League club Fulham, after spending the 2021-22 season on loan in Naples.

Now, his consistency and effort looks to be rewarded as a new three-year-deal could see the 29-year-old finish the prime of his career in Serie A.

Anguissa already had an optional extension clause in his contract that could be activated by Napoli to extend the deal to 2027 – but instead the reports suggest a new contract with an additional year will be confirmed.
