Ivan Zazzaroni says that it “seems Atalanta want to sell Ademola Lookman for the same price as Teun Kopmeiners.”

The Corriere dello Sport editor gave his thoughts on the transfer saga involving Inter’s efforts to sign Lookman, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan are still plugging away in their efforts to sign Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman.

The Nerazzurri had by all accounts hoped to wrap up a deal quickly for the Nigerian international. However, that is far from what has actually happened.

If anything, Inter’s pursuit of Lookman has virtually become the transfer soap opera of the summer in Serie A.

And in this sense there are parallels to last summer. Twelve months ago, Atalanta and Juventus were embroiled in a bitter struggle over the transfer of midfielder Teun Koopmeiners.

Zazzaroni: “Seems Atalanta Want Same Price For Lookman As Koopmeiners”

Corriere dello Sport editor Ivan Zazzaroni reports that sources close to Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi “claim he’s willing to sell the Nigerian for the same price Juventus paid for Teun Koopmeiners.”

In other words, “€52 million, plus €6 million in add-ons over four years.”

“But these are just speculations,” Zazzaroni reports.

“Lookman is holding firm. Developments will be forthcoming, whichever direction they go in.”

Zazzaroni adds that “Marotta is waiting for the official price tag. If he ever gets it.”
