The rolling hills of Malibu, along with its secluded seaside enclaves, have long been a hideaway for Hollywood’s rich and famous – from Brad Pitt, to Miley Cyrus, to Jack Nicholson, to Charlize Theron, to…well, too many to name here.

It’s a popular place for celebrities. You get the gist.

Even back in the day, as the late, great Johnny Carson once lived in a sprawling compound overlooking the sheltered, yet coveted, surfing zone of Point Dume – both Big Dume to the north, then Little Dume to the south. And the house is for sale.

Per the listing: “A Point Dume legacy estate of rare provenance and architectural significance, once home to legendary host Johnny Carson, this extraordinary compound spans over four pristine acres across four parcels, commanding panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, Queen's Necklace, and Paradise Cove.”

The asking price? $110,000,000.

Carson died back in 2015, and the home went to his widow, Alexis Maas. She sold it in 2007 for $46 million, then it switched hands again, at one point going for half the asking price ($81.5 million) in an off-market cash deal. Now, it’s for sale again.

(No word if Carson ever surfed; but he surely watched people ride waves from his luxury estate perched atop the cliff.)

The house comes with all the bells and whistles. It has tennis court, an outdoor fireplace with sunken circular seating, a garden area, a saltwater pool with a grotto waterfall, jacuzzi, sauna, an aviary, a cottage for the in-house staff, rose gardens, a fruit orchard, space to fit up to 40 vehicles, and of course, expansive ocean views.

It was designed by renowned geometric architect, Edward R. Niles.

According to the listing agent, Chris Cortazzo of Compass, "This is one of Malibu’s most special properties with a rich history tied to a legend like Johnny Carson. Its positioning, its architectural integrity, and the location are phenomenal.

"It’s situated closer to the bluff than you could ever build today, offering sweeping views of Little Dume Beach and the cove in one direction, and panoramic coastline views stretching down the coast in the other.”

Any takers?
