The waves may be long gone but the gifts from Hurricane Erin keep coming in the form of epic edits and stunning photos. As if it wasn't enough to bless the entire Atlantic Seaboard with proper surf, Erin then rebounded perfectly to set up Ireland (and much of Europe) with the biggest swell ever seen in August.

While surfers throughout both continents scored, one main point of focus was certainly Ireland as big wave heavies Natan Florence, Natxo Gonzalez, Nic von Rupp, and others made their way to Mullaghmore for the incredible swell but, in the end, it may have been the local boys who did it best. Gearoid McDaid just dropped his edit from scoring "Mully in August."

AIt starts out with Gearoid grabbing his big boards out of storage to dust them off for what turned out to be a solid paddle day instead of a crazy tow day. "I got an 8'6 and my 8'4. One's for a pretty massive paddle day, the other is still for a pretty massive paddle day only a bit smaller."

Although the waves are proper huge, Gearoid downplays the height, "It was a fun session but nothing crazy, crazy like we hoped... nice to feel the power out there but bit of a let down. Can't complain--still getting some Mully in summer". He remarks on the warm water and how everyone was calling about what wetsuits to bring, normally used to surfing in their 5/4s anytime they make their way to the Eire. "I reckon if you really wanted to, you could probably get away with a short sleeved 2mm. The water's been crazy hot lately."

All the action is set dope beats that sound straight out of an Ibiza dance floor, only instead of laser light shows it's wayyy overhead emerald barrels by surfers GearĂ³id, Noah Lane, Conor Maguire, Aaron Reid, Jack Clohessy & Nathan Florence.
