From Joel Parkinson, to Occy, Conner Coffin, Ryan Callinan, Mikey Wright and Bronson Meydi, JS Industries's roster of talent is not short on talent.
"The boards feel so good. They're so consistent and dependable," Kanoa Igarashi, who just joined the the team, explained before the start of the Pipe Pro.
In the latest YouTube drop from JS we find Bethany Hamilton dialing in her boards and ripping in Bali. Riding the HYFI3 Xero Fusion model, it's not the most hair-raising Indo you've ever seen, but that's the point. The Xero Fusion's a workhorse, an everyday driver that's made to shine in average conditions.
"The Xero Fusion is a performance oriented, user-friendly model for flatter faced waves," reads the board's description. "We have tested dozens of combinations to create fresh ideas and found the ultimate 1-3ft step down model catering to so many locations around the world. Xero Fusion is now the board of choice for our Traktor Team riders in flatter or weaker waves when they still want to perform at their absolute best."
As far as dimensions go, in Bali Bethany's on a 5’9” x 19 5/8” x 2 7/16” x 29.9L. Surfers like Callinan and Julian Wilson also ride get their Xero Fusions at 29L, while Coffin and Wright are a bit smaller at 27L. If you live in the U.S. and Hawaii, spring and summer are on the way, which means it's getting to be time put the pintails away and get something under your feet that makes those small days fun. Bethany may have just solved that riddle for you ... also, how good is she surfing?!
