Lacoste is making a significant change to its US Open tennis kits in honor of Novak Djokovic.

Djokovic has been a Lacoste brand ambassador for years.

Lacoste Says "After A While Crocodile"

In an unprecedented move, Lacoste is removing the iconic crocodile logo and replacing it with a goat i n honor of Djokovic, the greatest men's tennis player of all time.

The only similarity between the two animal logos is that goat will be green, consistent with the color of the crocodile.

The 38-year-old Serbian arrives in New York in search of his mind-boggling 25th Grand Slam, four were won in New York.

The most recent was in 2023.

To our knowledge, Djokovic has no plans to retire in 2025 so we do not know what precipitated the change.

He has appeared relaxed and happy to be in New York.

On Thursday night, Djokovic threw out the first pitch at the New York Yankees game. He wore an arm sleeve and a Lacoste crocodile logo black polo.

Adidas Also Is Unrecognizable At The US Open

In addition to Lacoste, Adidas is throwing out its traditional logo.

During the US Open Mixed Doubles Championship, Jessica Pegula and Karolina Muchova gave us sneak peeks of the US Open Adidas kits with a Y-3 logo.

This paint-splattered look is a drastic change from the throwback Adidas kits, with the green flowered logo, players wore at Wimbledon.

Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev, Alex Michelsen, and Learner Tien, Djokovic's US Open first round opponent, are ATP players who wear Adidas.
