Alexander Bublik pulled off a massive upset by beating World No. 1 Jannik Sinner at the Terra Wortmann Open in Halle, Germany, on Thursday, and he had a perfect comment on social media afterward.
Bublik dropped the first set against Sinner before coming back to win 3-6, 6-3, 6-4. Sinner is the defending champion in Halle, and the loss was his first to an opponent other than Carlos Alcaraz in 49 matches. Prior to Thursday, the last time Sinner lost to someone other than Alcaraz was in August 2024.
Few people gave Bublik a chance against Sinner, especially after Sinner just beat Bublik in convincing fashion two weeks ago. Sinner defeated Bublik in straight sets in the quarterfinals of the French Open.
Following Thursday’s match, Bublik had a great four-word comment on Instagram.
“I got him guys,” the 28-year-old wrote.

Sinner, of course, was coming off a devastating loss in one of the best matches of all time. The Italian had a historic meltdown against Alcaraz in the final of the French Open earlier this month.
Bublik did win the Halle Open two years ago, so he has had success at the event. Still, his social media comment suggests even he was relieved — perhaps surprised — that he got the best of Sinner.
