Sinner – Alcaraz: 18.08.2025 21:00 CEST
H2H: 6-9
Jannik Sinner has won eleven straight matches. The last match he played before the ATP Cincinnati was at Wimbledon, where he defeated Alcaraz in the final in four sets. Sinner is the defending champion in Cincinnati. Last season, the Italian defeated Tiafoe in the final in straight sets. This week, he demolished Galan in the opening round in straight sets. In the second round, Sinner won against Diallo in straight sets. He lost his serve at the beginning of the match; other than that, Sinner dominated on his serve. In the 1/8-Finals, Mannarino fought hard, but the Italian still won in tight straight sets. Auger-Aliassime stood no chance in the quarterfinals against Sinner. After playing for just short of an hour, Sinner won 6-0, 6-2.
The Italian offered no breakpoints in his semifinal match against Atmane. The Frenchman fought well in the opening set, losing in the tiebreak. In the second set, Sinner dominated from the start until the end.
Carlos Alcaraz has won five straight matches. This week in Cincinnati, the Spaniard defeated Dzumhur in three sets. He lost his serve three times in a rollercoaster-type match. In the second round, Carlos defeated Medjedovic in straight sets comfortably. In the 1/8-Finals, the Spaniard demolished Nardi 6-1, 6-4. He trailed 2-4 in the second set, but turned it quickly around. Last season in Cincinnati, he lost to Monfils in the opening match in three tight sets. His toughest challenger came in the quarterfinals against Rublev. In the deciding set, Alcaraz broke Rublev´s serve when he was 6-5 up and closed out the match.
In the semifinal clash against Zverev, Alcaraz played well under pressure, saving four out of five breakpoints. After playing for almost two hours, the Spaniard won in straight sets comfortably.
According to the bookies, Sinner is the favourite in this matchup, and we agree. He is the best player in the world and has dominated in every match throughout the two weeks. On the other hand, Alcaraz had a favourable draw, but he struggled in several matches. Currently, Sinner has more weapons on hard courts, and we expect him to continue his winning streak.
That being said, Sinner winning is a value bet.

Carlos Alcaraz struggled with his serve this week in Cincinnati. On the other hand, Sinner was ruthless on both serve and return. We expect the Italian to win at least one point in every game of the opening set.
That being said, Sinner to win 1+ points in every game of set 1 is a value bet.
