ATP Hangzhou Final Prediction

Alexander Bublik vs Valentin Royer

Valentin Royer advanced to the first ATP Tour final of his career after he defeated Corentin Moutet in straight sets. It was another superb display from the Frenchman as he dominated most of the exchanges to win 6-3 6-2. The qualifier has already enjoyed an impressive campaign on the Challenger Tour this season, and he will move up the rankings once more after the end of the tournament.

Royer’s opponent and third seed, Alexander Bublik, ended home favourite Yibing Wu’s brave run in the semi-finals. The Kazakhstani did not even concede a break point as he wrapped up a comfortable 6-3 6-3 win. He has not been broken at the event and is now just one win away from a fourth title of a fabulous season, and he his still in the running to qualify for the World Tour Finals in Turin in seven weeks.

Royer has arguably had the best week of his career in China. Still, against Bublik’s formidable serve and versatility, along with his perfect finals record this year, he will have to be content with a runner-up finish.
Prediction: Bublik in 2
