Vacherot – Auger-Aliassime: 31.10.2025 14:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting
Valentin Vacherot has won four of his last five matches. This week in Paris, Vacherot upset Lehecka in the opening round in straight sets within an hour. He offered no breakpoints. In the second round, he defeated his cousin, Rinderknech, in three tight sets, after losing the opening set 6-7. After spending almost three hours on the court, Vacherot outlasted the Frenchman. Today in the 1/8-Finals, he defeated Norrie in straight sets. Vacherot offered and saved five breakpoints.
Felix Auger-Aliassime has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Basel, the Canadian retired mid-match against Munar in the quarterfinals. This week in Paris, he defeated Comesana in the opening match after losing the opening set 6-7. In the second round, the Canadian defeated Muller in three tight sets after spending over three hours. After losing the opening set 5-7 and trailing 0-2 in the second set, Auger-Aliassime stepped up his level and turned the match around. Today in the 1/8-Finals, the Canadian lost the opening set against Altmaier, but turned the match around. In the deciding set, he offered no breakpoints.
According to the bookies, Vacherot is the underdog in this matchup, but we disagree. He is in great form and enjoys playing in Paris. On the other hand, Auger-Aliassime struggled in all three matches this week. We expect a close match that could go either way.
That being said, Vacherot covering the games handicap is a value bet.
Value bet/ the best odds: Valentin Vacherot +2.5 games handicap @1.80 @bet365
Bublik – De Minaur: 31.10.2025 15:30 CEST
H2H: 1-3
Alexander Bublik has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Vienna, Bublik lost to Sinner in the quarterfinals in straight sets. This week in Paris, Bublik won the opening match against Popyrin in straight sets. Besides losing his serve once, the Kazakh served well throughout the match. In the second round, Bublik won against Moutet in straight sets. He served well once again, offering and saving only one breakpoint. Today in the 1/8-Finals, the Kazakh upset Fritz in straight sets. Last season in Paris, Bublik lost to Rune in the second round in straight sets. He has never made it past the third round here.
Alex de Minaur has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Vienna, de Minaur lost to Sinner in the semifinals in straight sets. This week, the Australian defeated Diallo in the opening match in three tight sets. In the opening set tiebreak, de Minaur trailed 0-5 and saved three set points. He was a better player under pressure in the deciding set. Today in the 1/8-Finals, the Australian defeated Khachanov in straight sets. Last season, de Minaur lost to Rune in the quarterfinals in three tight sets.
According to the bookies, this will be an almost 50-50 matchup, but we disagree. Bublik dominated this week in Paris. His serve was unplayable. We expect him to be a better player under these conditions.
That being said, Bublik winning is a value bet.
Value bet/ the best odds: Alexander Bublik winning @2.20 @bet365
