Rinderknech – Lehecka: 08.10.2025 06:30 CEST
H2H: 1-1
Arthur Rinderknech has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Beijing, Rinderknech lost to de Minaur in the 1/8-Finals in three tight sets. This week in Shanghai, Medjedovic retired mid-match against the Frenchman in the opening round. In the second round, Rinderknech defeated Michelsen in straight sets. He trailed 2-4 in the second set, but won four consecutive games and turned the set around. Rinderknech upset Zverev in the third round, after losing the opening set 4-6. He offered three breakpoints altogether in the second and third sets and saved them all.
Jiri Lehecka has won four of his last five matches. This week in Shanghai, Lehecka defeated Halys in the opening match in straight sets. He served well, not offering any breakpoints. In the third round, Lehecka defeated Shapovalov in straight sets. This time, the Czech lost his serve twice. However, he returned well, so it was still a straight match win for him. This is his third appearance in Shanghai. He has never made it past the third round. Last season, Lehecka lost to Rune in the third round in straight sets.
According to the bookies, Rinderknech is the heavy underdog in this matchup, but we disagree. He played his best tennis this week in Shanghai. The Frenchman defeated Medjedovic, Michelsen, and Zverev en route to the 1/8 finals; all of them are solid hard-court players. Last season in Marseille under similar conditions, Rinderknech won against Lehecka in straight sets. If he serves well, we expect him to keep this match tight.
That being said, Rinderknech covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Auger-Aliassime – Musetti: 08.10.2025 12:30 CEST
H2H: 3-4
Felix Auger-Aliassime has won four of his last five matches. The last match he played before the ATP Shanghai was at the US Open, where he lost to Sinner in the semifinals in a tight four-set match. This week, the Canadian won the opening match against Tabilo in straight sets. He saved all seven breakpoints. In the third round, Auger-Aliassime defeated de Jong in straight sets. He saved two consecutive set points in the second set.
Lorenzo Musetti has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Beijing, Musetti retired mid-match against Tien in the quarterfinals. This week in Shanghai, the Italian defeated Comesana in the opening match in straight sets. He served well, not offering any breakpoints. In the third round, Musetti outlasted Darderi in straight sets after playing for over two hours.
According to the bookies, this will be an almost 50-50 matchup, but we disagree. Auger-Aliassime looked better this week in Shanghai. Musetti had a favourable draw so far, and he still struggled in the third round against Darderi. On the other hand, the Canadian defeated two solid hard-court players in straight sets. We expect Auger-Aliassime to be a better player tomorrow.
That being said, Auger-Aliassime winning is a value bet.
